More “Best” Lists
At SF Signal, reviewer John DeNardo lists DEADSTOCK as one of his best reads of 2007:

And at Locus online, Jeff VanderMeer lists his favorites of the year, too. He starts off his honorable mentions with DEADSTOCK.

On his list of the best, I really would like to read THE TRAITOR (I love Cisco’s work), THE TERROR and BRASYL — if I can ever get off this Edgar Rice Burroughs kick. So far in 2008 I’ve read:
A PRINCESS OF MARS
THE MASTER MIND OF MARS
JOHN CARTER OF MARS
ESCAPE ON VENUS
And I’ve begun his THE MOON MAID today. What can I say, I love that wonky science, those wicked monsters, and those scantily clad maidens in peril. I guess there’s a John Carter movie (trilogy?) in the works at Pixar — oh yeah.
